LEAVING ON A JET PLANE
Today, my daughter princess 1 is leaving to go to Washington, D.C. for a month, the last 4 days have (can we be honest) H... and there is no other way to say it. She is very nervous about leaving home and flying 304 miles away. It is the second time she has ever flown the first was when she was 3.
The reason you ask is why is she going????? It is with a program called Panim (Summer Jam) she will join a diverse group of high school students from across the country and participate in meaningful (and fun!) community service projects, explore DC through field trips, study Jewish texts and values, and hear legislative updates from leading experts on domestic and international policy issues.
She will live the dorm life and can tour DC as along as she with 2 other students to tour the city..there are so many positives that I will post later...
Right now it has been a hard day dealing with getting her there and keeping her there will explain later but right now I need a stiff drink.....

TRICK YOU MIND
Well, today after a week of enough water that could float a small boat and watching whatever little morsel of food that I touched my lips to help sustain life.....I went to ww (again at 6:30 a.m.) with a open heart and alittle skip in my step, hoping for the scale to go in my favor. So with my fingers and toes crossed I stepped on the scale and held my breath and the RESULTS are 6.6 You did read that right 6.6 I am so proud of my self....hopefully next week I will not be lead into temptation and there will be a weight lost.
Now about the title "TRICK YOU MIND" that is what the leader had written as the topic for the week I'm sure it was trick your mind but I thought if was funny and told my friend that I was going to blog about trick thing. You should serve your food on smaller plates, make sure they are blue and not red. And all fast food joints use red as their color trademarks (I wasn't aware of this) the things you learn.
Well I have things to do and water to drink and points to take care of....so have a great Saturday.

ps
just in case your wondering, I do not weigh that much as the picture above maybe some day....lol

2. What foods would you be sure you got to eat?
Spanish food, crepes and med eastern food

Wailing wall, the Red Sea, and any other tourist spots that cross my mind
4. What airline would you use?
Anyone that gets me there fast
5. Would your knowledge of other languages influence where you went? (i.e.would you be more likely to go to France if you spoke French)
No, I still would enjoy seeing the sites of the world
After answering this questions, it makes me want to get a passport and start learning a few phrases and pack a bag or two for my travels....

MARGARITA
The Margarita recipe is one of the most famous tequila cocktails recipes. Margarita drinks are often served as blended or frozen. The most traditional margarita drinks are lime flavoured. But there are nowadays many variations, for example the well-known frozen margarita strawberry.
Margarita Ingredients
3 parts of tequila
2 parts of orange flavored liqueur
1 part of fresh lime juice
Coarse kosher salt
Lime wedge
Ice cubes
The above recipe is considered to be the most traditional and classical of all recipes of margaritas. But there are many alternative recipes which for example includes mango, melon or orange juice
Enjoy and think of me.....

SOMETHING DIFFERENT
A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him.
The waitress asks them for their orders.
The man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke," and turns to the ostrich, "What's yours?"
"I'll have the same," says the ostrich.
A short time later the waitress returns with the order "That will be $9.40 please," and the man reaches into his pocket and pulls out the exact change for payment.
The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says, "A hamburger, fries and a coke."
The ostrich says, "I'll have the same."
Again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.
This becomes routine until the two enter again. "The usual?" asks the waitress.
"No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato and a salad," says the man.
"Same," says the ostrich.
Shortly the waitress brings the order and says, "That will be $32.62.
Once again the man pulls the exact change out of his pocket and places it on the table.
The waitress cannot hold back her curiosity any longer. "Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the exact change in your pocket every time?"
"Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the attic and found an old lamp. When I rubbed it, a Genie appeared and offered me two wishes. My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything, I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of money woul always be there."
"That's brilliant" says the waitress. "Most people would ask for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich as you want for as long as you live!"
"That's right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce, the exact money is always there," says the man.
The waitress asks, "What's with the ostrich?"
The man sighs, pauses and answers, "My second wish was for a tall chick with a big butt and long legs who agrees with everything I say."

A NEW ROAD TO TAKE
Did not mention that yesterday I started a new chapter in my life...the four letter word di*t. So, I went to WW at 6:30am after the margarita night and had to face facts....and it is not pretty but WW has new programs now...they have the flex and the core program not sure which one I want to do....
So while there I found out that I didn't have to pay the registration fee and that if I miss a meeting I don't have to pay that either due to my insurance yeah.....The meeting started and the leader talked about Route 66 and traveling along the road and the many detours to get where you need to go.
Here is part of a lyric by a little unknown band and I felt that it fit right in with my discussion.....
I want to build a brand new road
But I'm not so sure I know where it goes
I see myself beside the road looking for a way back home
Drive away forget to wave, lock the door so I don't escape
So I want to find out what's on the other side
And write my name beside the door
I want to find out what I've been
There were two people there that lost 98lbs and 88lbs respectfully...so it does give me hope that I can lose the weight I need to and want to...
This is how I feel about the new road that I will be traveling on...lets hope that I can stay on the road without too many detours ahead...so on to the 6 glasses of water I need to start drinking now....

I'll have another one.....maybe
Well last night was what I call a great night out. The company was great and the drinks were even better.....Nothing like a good pitcher of margaritas to ease the end of rough week at work and it's not looking better for next week.
We went to the place that serves the best of those special drinks in my neighborhood...my friend never had experienced the great taste from this little establishment and thought that I was joking about the strength of them..now, she now knows I don't lie about important things like this..
The waiter wanted to bring us a small pitcher and we were like do you want to pour us into our car...no thank you...
PLEASE REMEMBER TO DRINK AND DRIVE RESPONSIBLE

A FATHER'S DAY TRIBUTE
Father Is A Source of Strength
A father is a source of strength,
A teacher and a guide,
The one his family looks up to
With loving trust and pride...
A father is a helper
With a willing hand to lend,
A partner, an adviser,
And the finest kind of friend
Today is Father's Day and as I look at my dad and see the respect he has from his four children and 3 granddaughters it moves me so much.....This picture is from our old house in Brookpark, I am the one with the blue flower on....
Happy Father's Day to all the fathers out there and fathers to be....

TOUR DE CURE
It is 5:30 in the am and I am waiting for one of my sisters to arrive so that we may volunteer at the American Diabetes Association fund raiser... This is the second year in a row that I'm doing this....
I think of the many people who have Diabetes. There are children and adults who struggle to keep their numbers in check by diet and exercise.
Both of my girls participated along with their cousin in this ride and I can't be more proud of them for understanding how to helps others....It should be an eventful day with temps around 92.
It is the end of the day and the ride went very well. My 16 year old did 32 miles with her uncle. While everyone else did 4. The sun was very bright and we had a great time as we are putting on our aloe vera before we go to bed..

DeFeet DeFeet DeFeet
My feet have been swollen for over a week. I know water retention but anyway, staring at them got me thinking....Are these like small camels that hold water so when my body is thirsty, I have it....Or how come I don't hear it sloshing around when I walk....
I went to the Doctor's the other day. Only because I can't stand for anyone staring at my feet
He ended up giving me some water pills....He also asked did you add more salt to your diet and I felt like saying "Yes, because I have missed seeing you and getting yelled at about my weight" but I thought I would keep that info to my self....
5 pounds less and 90 trips to the bathroon my defeet look great....so I will see what they do this weekend in 92 degree weather ....LET'S HOPE THEY STAY NORMAL
